Best known for developing his own unique style of Japanese art, Richie Lucero has been a professional tattooer for over 13 years.  Self-taught, Richie practices his art in a variety of media including airbrush, oil, pastels, watercolor and more.  In 2009 he assumed ownership of Black Cat Tattoo studio in Chinatown, Honolulu and continued to develop his skills as a freehand tattoo artist. Richie continues to practice fine art and hosts multiple art shows each year bringing artists from around the world to Oahu.

Though he was born and raised in Hawaii, Richie has travelled the world as a guest at international tattoo conventions in North America, Europe, and Asia.  Whether on the road or at home, Richie offers an expansive range of tattoo styles from photo-realism in either color or black and gray to neo-traditional and illustrative works.
